DICT Partners with ITU and DataCo for Digital Government Delivery
The Department of Information and Communications Technology has partnered with the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) and PNG Dataco Limited in the delivery of Digital Government for Papua New Guinea.
DICT Secretary Mr Steven Matainaho announced this partnership stating that it will be reflected in the upcoming 2023 Digital Government Delivery Workshop.
“The workshop aims to equip Heads of Public Bodies and Digital Transformation Officers (DTOs) with the knowledge, skills, and insights into the delivery approach and expectations of DICT from 2023 – 2027,” Secretary Matainho stated.
The upcoming workshop emphasizes ICT as a key enabler in service delivery, and DICT being the lead ICT agency in the country, focuses on empowering all public entities to align with the MTDP 4 and the Digital Government Act 2022 in the effective realization of a Digital Government.
“With the support of the ITU we will workshop the GovPNG Technology Stack approach and do a deep dive on the building block delivery approach.”
“Key to this is also the Digital ID Ecosystem and a Payment System thus we will also provide an overview of the delivery roadmap during the workshop to all public agencies.”
All DTOs across all public agencies are encouraged to register for the 2023 Digital Government Delivery Workshop now at http://www.ict.gov.pg
