PNG DataCo Limited is pleased to announce that it is one of the sponsors for the upcoming Stagajah Concert at the Cosmopolitan on Friday, 26th February, 2021.
Through its community service initiative; the wholesale infrastructure and telecommunication service provider offers services to the community with a difference. In doing so, PNG DataCo Limited is supporting the Stagajah band. The band aims to work closely with persons living with disabilities and youths in the community, furthermore inspiring them to pursue music and using music as a tool to eradicate crime and violence. Recently, PNG DataCo Limited announced the sponsorship.
“We acknowledge the support from PNG DataCo Limited and believe we can make a difference through music,” band member Gaigo Mao said.
“We invest in a little way to support groups that go out to help others in the community,” PNG DataCo General Manager Engineering Services Tony Morisausse said.
“We are happy to work with groups that have a similar agenda like PNG DataCo Limited that has positive impact in society. “As a telecommunications operator we believe and know we exist in society and some of the things we do directly and indirectly assists the community,” General Manager Commercial Services Une O’Ome said.
”We partner and support initiatives with youth groups, church groups, sporting groups and music groups that have that stamina to have a positive impact on society. We are happy to work in partnership while we are at the forefront of young people trying to influence them through a positive culture.
Fifty percent of the funds raised from the concert will go towards assisting youths and Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) at the Hohola Cheshire Homes with brand new acoustic guitars. Furthermore, the funds raised will assist with the band’s music awareness programs in parts of the country.
Stakajah band is made up of four members; Liberty Chapman (producer) Gaigo Mao (singer/song writer,) Ray Paul Jr (lead singer) and Jerome Isom (singer/song writer).
